Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Consulting Firm to Conduct a Process Evaluation of The World Bank Niger Adaptive Safety. 1. Provides cash transfers to the poorest and most vulnerable households in all the regions of the country. Cash transfers are provided in the form of monthly payments of 15,000 FCFA in 24-month cycles. The beneficiaries of the cash transfers also participate in the accompanying measures that aim at building human capital and strengthening productive inclusion. Examples include early childhood development training, the establishment of Village Savings and Loans (VSLAs), business skills training, and one-off grants for income-generating start-ups. 2. Provides support to vulnerable population facing climate and other shocks. For example, in 2021, a one-off emergency cash transfer has been provided to 400,000 households across the country (approximately 2.8 million people) affected by COVID-19. 3. Organizes cash-for-work (CFW) activities for poor and vulnerable households in regions that are or have been particularly affected by climate shocks. In the current phase of the project, it is.
